Meta is facing accusations of political bias after Democrat-related hashtags were hidden on its Instagram app following Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration Monday.

Instagram blocked searches related to a number of political hashtags, including #democrats, #democrat, #jan6th, #republicans and a number of other terms Tuesday.

Several Instagram users have reported seeing hashtags such as "#democrat," "republicans," "#jan6th" and "#johnoliver" being blocked, accompanied by a message stating, "We've hidden these results."
