An adaptation of Atlee's 2016 Tamil hit Theri, Baby John has turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood flops.

South actress Keerthy Suresh, who made her Bollywood debut with Varun Dhawan's Baby John has revealed she was signed for the film because of a suggestion by another actress.

Keerthy Suresh is basking in the success of her Bollywood film 'Baby John', directed by Kalees. This official adaptation of Atlee's Tamil hit 'Theri' (2016), starring Thalapathy Vijay, received a decent performance in Hindi from Varun Dhawan and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Varun Dhawan and Atlee offered prayers at Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain a day before the release of their film, Baby John.

Varun discussed the adoption process, saying, "There was a definite purpose why Atlee presented this film to us. In order to use it as an adaptation rather than a true remake, we had to change a lot of the topography.
