A man was hospitalized in Rockford overnight after a shooting, according to police. Prior to 6:45 a.m., authorities said shots rang out in the 600 block of Rome Avenue, near Rural Street. Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and was expected to survive.

The Round Rock Police Department said police were actively investigating an officer-involved shooting Tuesday night at southbound I-35 near Westinghouse Road.
