Most businesses were already operating on a shorter work week considering the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and the storm ate into another work day.

A winter storm for the ages brought a rare snow day to Tallahassee, shutting down the city and giving people a chance to throw snowballs and sled down a hill.

Much of north Florida was shut down Wednesday after a winter storm blanketed the region in ice and snow. The state urged everyone to remain off the roads until it is safe to drive. However, that isn’t stopping people from making the most of the winter weather.
