Tony Gonzalez is a man of his word. Travis Kelce surpassed the Hall of Fame tight end to break the Kansas City Chiefs’ franchise record for touchdown receptions in the team’s Christmas Day win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kelce was paying homage to former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez, who did that celebration after scoring a touchdown back in the days when it wasn’t illegal in the NFL.

After Kelce hauled in that record-setting touchdown in the fourth quarter, he immediately went to the post and showed he had just enough hops at 35 to pull off the dunk. Kelce was indeed penalized for the celebration, but he shouldn’t expect to pay the fine for it.
