President Donald Trump's administration has terminated deportation relief for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans in the United States, the New York Times reported on Sunday, citing U.S. government documents that it obtained.

They were given Temporary Protected Status Because their country is too unsafe to return. But now, thousands of Venezuelans will be open to potential deportation when their protections come to an end as soon as in two months.

The Trump administration is revoking an extension that grants deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans in the United States through October 2026, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
