A 191-acre wildfire that tore through Franklin Township, Gloucester County starting Wednesday evening was fully contained as of Thursday, according to New Jersey firefighting officials.

A three alarm brush fire was burning Friday afternoon near the New Jersey Turnpike, fire department officials said. The fire was located in a field near the border of North Arlington and Kearny. Local fire departments warned the public to avoid the area of 700 Belleville Turnpike as they continued to battle the blaze.
