A lucky New Jersey lottery player has won $1 million after matching the five white balls in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing.

No one claimed the top prize in the Dec. 10 drawing so the Dec. 13 prize will be more than $1 billion, according to the Michigan Lottery.

LANSING, MI -- The largest Lotto 47 jackpot ever has been won after it took nearly eight months for someone to win the game’s grand prize. On Saturday, Dec. 13, a player matched all six numbers drawn -- 02-03-12-15-16-33 -- to win a $32.91 million jackpot.

No one claimed the top prize in the Dec. 13 drawing so the Dec. 15 prize will be more than $1.1 billion, according to the Michigan Lottery.

Powerball has grown to an estimated $1.1 billion after no ticket matched all 6 numbers in the last drawing. Dec. 15 draw is close to Hanukkah holiday.
