The "ongoing" narcotics investigation is being conducted with multiple agencies, including the Virginia DMV Law Enforcement Division, the Isle of Wight Sheriff's Office, the Virginia State Police Drug Task Force, Virginia State Police and the Isle of Wight Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.

Four suspects are in custody on charges of selling nearly $40,000 worth of marijuana that police say they seized from four vape stores in Smithfield.  The town has revoked the business licenses for all four stores,

The Smithfield Police Department responded to multiple vape store locations on Monday morning as a result of ongoing investigation.

Investigators were on scene at multiple vape stores in Smithfield as part of a narcotics investigation Monday afternoon.
