France's largest video game maker Ubisoft has decided to postpone the release of the newest game in its blockbuster franchise Assassin’s Creed to March 20 from Feb. 14, the company said on Thursday.

Shifting from Feb. 14 to March 20, the delay “will allow the team to better incorporate the player feedback gathered over the past three months and help create the best conditions for launch by continuing to engage closely with the increasingly positive Assassin’s Creed community.”

Ubisoft has today revealed it has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows a second time for all platforms, with a launch date now set for 20th March 2025. In a social media statement, it's said the reason for the delay is that "a few additional weeks" of development will ensure an "even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience".

Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows yet again, this time by another month. Assassin's Creed Shadows was due out February 14, 2025, but will now launch on March 20 instead. This is the game's second delay, after an initial release date of November 12, 2024, was pushed back to this year.

The People Make Games channel on YouTube published a video outlining disturbing allegations of abuse within Indonesian studio Brandoville, which had most recently collaborated with Ubisoft on Assassin's Creed Shadows.

The publisher says it is "deeply disturbed" by reports of alleged physical and mental abuse at the Indonesian studio it outsourced work to.

Both Naoe and Yasuke will have additional options to get around the world of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which comes out Feb. 14.
