The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Jan. 3 that two variants of cheddar from Wicklow Gold, distributed by Abbey Specialty Foods, were recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The recalled Wicklow Gold cheddar cheese products were sold in 5.2-ounce packages in Ohio and 4 other states and had June 2, 2025, sell-by dates.
