As thousands of protesters demonstrating against President’s Trump mass deportation and immigration policies clogged the streets and 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Sunday, smaller protests erupted in several cities across Southern California and the United States.

Mauricio Arellano, superintendent of the San Bernardino City Unified School District, which co-sponsored the Wednesday, Jan. 22, event, told the crowd of about 50 that all children in the U.S. have a right to a free public education — regardless of immigration status.

Groups of protestors waving Mexican flags and homemade signs with pro-immigration messages were seen gathering throughout San Diego on Sunday, with the main message being -- "stop mass deportation."
