NetEase has announced a new Marvel Rivals event that's landing tomorrow, and it'll bring a brand new game mode and more with it.

Look, I know half the conversation around Marvel Rivals is taken up with comparing it to its obvious inspiration, Overwatch 2, but sometimes it’s hard to talk about much else when developer NetEase continues to copy Overwatch 2’s homework and makes little effort to hide it.

NetEase Games has unveiled Marvel Rivals’ first-ever Chinese New Year-themed event. The game’s Spring Festival event kicks off this week on 23 January (9am UTC), bringing a Rocket League-like soccer game mode and several themed cosmetics to the game for Iron Fist, Black Widow, and Star Lord.

Players will be able to compete in Clash of the Dancing Lions, a new limited-time mode for the Spring Festival.
