Shares of Tata Investment Corporation jumped 8.3% on the BSE after Tata Capital received board approval for its IPO. Tata Capital will issue 23 crore new shares, with existing shareholders reducing their stakes via an OFS.

The upcoming Tata IPO is likely to be a mixture of both fresh issues and offers for sale (OFS). Apart from this, the board has approved a rights issue worth Rs 1,504 crore in Tata Capital for existing shareholders.

Tata Capital did not share any further details on its proposed public float. Established in 2007, Tata Capital provides a wide range of loans from housing to personal.
