Tim Stutzle’s early overtime goal helped the Ottawa Senators take home a 4-3 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. Stutzle extended his career-high point streak to 13 games, scoring after a puck deflected off his skate and past Blackhawks goalie Arvid Soderblom.
It wasn't pretty, but it was two points. The Sens faded as the game went on, but did just enough to eke out the victory. Tim Stützle had the OT winner, Josh Norris had a goal and an assist, and Linus Ullmark made just 17 saves for the win.
The Senators need more from their winger, whom Green pushed to be harder on pucks from as way back as last summer. Batherson scored a hat trick against the Anaheim Ducks in mid-December, which should’ve been an encouraging sign for his season. But he has scored only four goals in his next 28 games.
Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot expressed his disappointment at the team's 4-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday.
