The Utes controlled the game from the get-go after having played from behind much of their short Big 12 history. Utah stormed out to a 12-0 lead thanks in large part to six quick points from Ausar and stifled any Oklahoma State hopes for a comeback by shooting lights out while holding the Cowboys in check.
The Utes pushed out to a 12-0 lead and led by as many as 16 points before taking a 37-26 lead into halftime. Ausar scored half of those 12 points to start the game, while Lovering, Gabe Madsen and Mike Sharavjamts also added two points each.
The Cowboys were routed 83-62 by Utah on Saturday night, falling to the team at the bottom of the Big 12 standings. OSU is now 1-3 in Big 12 play.
