It’s been a problem without a solution for the Cleveland Browns over the last two seasons. And no, for once, it’s not the quarterback question. In both 2023 and 2024, Cleveland couldn’t stop turning the ball over.

The New England Patriots are reportedly hiring Cleveland Browns offensive assistant Ashton Grant as their new quarterbacks coach, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones. Grant is a Connecticut native who attended Assumption University in Worcester. So this is a homecoming for the man set to replace T.C. McCartney.

FOXBORO, Mass. (WKBN) – Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports is reporting that Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach Ashton Grant is being hired for the same position with the New England Patriots. Grant has been with the Browns since 2020. He joins new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel who spent the 2024 season as a consultant with Cleveland.

The Patriots are hiring Ashton Grant as their quarterbacks coach, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports. Grant also interviewed for the Packers' quarterbacks job this offseason. He joined the Browns in 2020 as the team's Bill Willis Coaching Fellowship recipient and extended his time in the same through through 2021.
