Passengers on a United Airlines flight from Houston to New York were evacuated before takeoff on Sunday due to engine issues.

A plane carrying 104 passengers had to abort its takeoff from a Texas airport after a fire broke out in one of the wings.

The crew “safely aborted its takeoff” at the Texas airport due to a “reported engine issue” around 8.35am, the FAA added.
