Alabama 18-wheeler driver charged with hit-and-run in Gwinnett County, police say
Police have identified and charged the driver of an 18-wheeler in a hit-and-run accident in Gwinnett County. Christian Barrier, 31, of Alabama, turned himself in to the Gwinnett County Jail on Jan. 31.
Gwinnett Police charged big rig driver with hit-and-run
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County police have charged a big rig driver in a hit-and-run accident that happened on January 28. Investigators say the driver of the tractor trailer, 31-year-old Christian Barrier of Alabama, attempted to change lanes on I-85 near Pleasant Hill and caused the crash.

The car crossed over the I-85 overpass on Pleasant Hill Road on Jan. 28 when the 18-wheeler changed lanes and struck the car, causing it to spin and get pinned to the front of the truck, police said. After the tractor-trailer left the scene, the car’s driver called police.
