Perhaps nowhere is that more apparent than in two particular genres that are themselves unique Texas products that the city has made major contributions to: conjunto and Tejano music.

Abraham Quintanilla Jr., Selena's father and manager, has died at 86. He was instrumental in her rise to fame and preserving her legacy. His passing was announced by his son, A.B. Quintanilla III.

Along with her family in attendance for her final concert, Reyna said she is looking forward to sharing the stage with some familiar faces. She wants her final show to be special, so Reyna created an all-star lineup that includes Lucky Joe, Michael Salgado, Jesse Turner, Elsa Garcia, and Mariachi Campanas de America.
