Walmart issues a massive recall in 20 states over the finding of potential foodborne illness contamination in a food staple.

Broccoli florets from California grower and sold at more than 1,000 Walmart stores are recalled because they could contain listeria.

The products are no longer available on shelves, but some people may have frozen bags of the contaminated vegetables.

Two products sold in Walmart stores have been voluntarily recalled in recent weeks, with hundreds of locations carrying the items. Newsweek has contacted Walmart for comment via the contact form on its website outside of regular working hours.

If you do your produce shopping at your local Walmart, you might want to take a look at your recently purchased broccoli. The retail giant has recalled Braga Fresh, a brand of bagged greens, from Walmart stores in 20 states over listeria concerns.
