The crash around 11 a.m. at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital sent thick, black smoke over downtown and forced the evacuation of patients.

The next information they were getting was 911 calls regarding a helicopter crash near the airport. All were killed on impact. All in our extended EMS family are saddened by this loss of life.
