Get ready to feel the beat as Stars on Ice brings a high-octane, rock-inspired thrill ride to The Skating Club of Boston. The electrifying “Rock Stars on Ice” tour fuses timeless rock classics with the athleticism and artistry of world-class figure skating.

The Boston Open is an annual figure-skating competition hosted by The Skating Club of Boston® since 1976. As the last large competition in the northeast, the Boston Open is the perfect stop for skaters to perfect their skating programs before U.S. Figure Skating’s Sectional Singles Finals and the U.S. Pairs Finals.

These include: two World Championships, a Grand Prix, a Challenger Series event, seven U.S. Championships, and multiple regional and sectional qualifying competitions. Most recently, the Club hosted the 2022 Skate America and the 2016 ISU World Figure Skating Championships.

Boston NQS and Boston Open alternate as the final National Qualifying Series (NQS) competition in the east. Skaters from around the country choose to enter the event in Norwood to earn their highest score to date and hopefully qualify the Sectional Singles and U.S. Pairs Final.

Ice Chips is the Club’s annual figure skating show and the longest-running, club-produced ice show in the world. This event has showcased the world’s most outstanding figure skaters, including national, international and Olympic champions.

The Club’s new facility is a best-in-class, three-rink training facility and performance center, that opened in the fall of 2020, and is redefining figure skating not only in New England, but in the country.
